How can you combine two self-adhesive magnetic tapes?
Our self-adhesive magnetic tapes
can also connect two completely non-magnetic objects.
The tapes cannot be combined arbitrarily, however.
You always need to put unequal poles on top of each other.

Features of stripe magnetisation
Our magnetic adhesive tapes
made of ferrite are magnetised in stripes on the the non-adhesive surface.
Therefore, the tapes cannot be placed on top of each other arbitrarily because that would lead to equal poles (north on north or south on south) on top of each other and they would reject each other.
You have to turn one of the tapes 180 degrees to be able to place them on top of each other without problem.
MT-30-STIC, MT-40-STIC and MT-150-STIC
The magnetic adhesive tapes MT-30-STIC,
MT-40-STIC
and MT-150-STIC
have an even number of stripes and are therefore suitable for combining.
If you do not set it up right, you can see the misalignment.
However, if you turn the one tape by 180 degrees, only a slight inaccuracy of 0,7 mm remains.
MT-10-STIC, MT-20-STIC
The two magnetic adhesive tapes MT-10-STIC
and MT-20-STIC
have an uneven number of stripes, hence they can never fit on one another accurately.
You always have to slide them over sideways by one stripe.
Hence, we do not recommend combining them.
Neodymium magnetic adhesive tape NMT-10-STIC, NMT-20-STIC, NMT-30-STIC
On the neodymium magnetic adhesive tapes NMT-10-STIC,
NMT-20-STIC
and NMT-30-STIC
the stripes run perpendicular to the tape length.
Pieces of this special magnetic adhesive tape can therefore be placed right on top of each other.
The especially strong adhesive force of those tapes also allows for very stable combinations of two non-magnetic objects.
